About Opera Steamboat and the 2018 Opera Artist Institute:

The Opera Artist Institute is open to selected singers dedicated to performing at their highest level and one or more rising directors, conductors, and pianist-coaches. Accommodations + Meals

WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE SINGERS TO DRIVE TO STEAMBOAT SO THEY CAN HAVE A CAR THE ENTIRE TIME.

Participants will be housed in Steamboat Springs at the campus of Colorado Mountain College. In past years we have also used the facilities at Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts Camp and Steamboat Mountain School or donated in-home housing. Meals, except breakfast, are not included. Transportation to and from the Institute and within the city of Steamboat Springs is the responsibility of the participant. Public transportation and ride sharing are common ways to get around, but you will find that the tight rehearsal and performance schedules make having a car most convenient.

Situated in the Rocky Mountains, Steamboat Springs enjoys fabulous summer weather with a plethora of outdoor activities and artistic events to enjoy. For more information on Steamboat Springs, please visit: steamboat.com.
