Jennifer Harpel • Mezzo Soprano

Jennifer is enjoying her third performance with Opera Steamboat and has previously sung in their two

productions of Michael Ching’s “Speed Dating Tonight”.  She is a native of Kansas City, KS and she

received her B.A. and M.M. degrees at the University of Houston.  She continued her vocal study abroad 

in Austria, Germany and then in New York.  After moving to Colorado to be closer to family, she continues to perform as a soloist in Denver and has sung for several years with the CO Symphony Chorus, and continues to sing with the Opera Colorado chorus.  She has participated in Opera Colorado’s productions of “Aida”, Lucia di Lammermoor”, “La Bohème”, the premier of “Steal a Pencil for Me”, “Falstaff” and will participate in their upcoming performance of Verdi’s “La Traviata”.  She works in Golden, CO for two attorneys in employment law as an Affirmative Action Specialist.
