Leah Podzimek

As the Grants Associate, Ms. Podzimek is responsible for seeking out, applying for, and reporting on grant funds received by Opera Steamboat. She also advises on program development and planning, fundraising efforts, and more in conjunction with grant efforts. Leah is a freelance arts administrator, creative producer, and performer based in Denver, CO. She currently works with six non-profit arts organizations across the state, providing contracted services in fundraising, project management, operations, and more. She has previously served as the Executive Director of Boulder Symphony, Interim Administrative Director for Curious Theatre Company, Community Outreach Associate for Meow Wolf Denver, and Development Manager for Opera Colorado. In addition to her leadership roles, Leah produces extensively, consults on various art initiatives, and performs in opera productions, concerts, and curated musical experiences throughout the Front Range. She serves as the Secretary of the Board for Control Group Productions and is also on the Board of Junkyard Social Club in Boulder. She received her MA in Arts Administration & Cultural Policy from Goldsmiths, University of London and a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from Wartburg College
